Rachel Frank's
Promises to Venice
Protect our quality of life and small-town charm
Invest in vital infrastructure and public safety
Fight for taxpayers and justify every tax dollar spent

Rachel Frank, a longtime Venice resident whose family has called the area home for nearly 50 years, is running for reelection to the Venice City Council. Frank is campaigning on a platform of fiscal conservatism and protecting Venice’s small-town charm and quality of life.
During her time on the City Council, Frank points to results that include:
-
Tax relief - leading the charge to lower property taxes two of the last three years, saving taxpayers millions of dollars
-
Public safety - strong supporter for police, firefighters, and EMS professionals
-
Infrastructure - backing critical improvements that improve our quality of life
“Fiscal conservatism isn’t just about lowering taxes,” Frank said. “It’s about prioritizing what matters most, funding core services, and cutting waste, just like families and retirees on fixed incomes have to do every day. I’ll always support the first responders who protect our city and invest in the infrastructure our residents rely on.”
Frank also emphasized affordability and community service. She serves on the board of Family Promise of South Sarasota, supporting families working toward housing stability, and on Rotary Futures, a nonprofit helping Venice High School students access scholarships and higher education.
“Too many families and retirees are feeling squeezed,” Frank said. “I’ll stay focused on smart decisions that keep Venice affordable and ensure people can live, work, retire, and raise a family here.”
Frank was raised in Venice and attended Laurel Nokomis and Venice High School. She earned a degree in Political Science from Sewanee: The University of the South. She is the President of D-R Media, a newspaper, concert, and travel business based in Venice. She was also elected Republican State Committeewoman for Sarasota County in 2024. She and her husband, Atticus, attend Grace Community Bible Church and have four children.
